In 2011, the Young Persons Event takes to the River Thames
aboard a classic 1920's riverboat, the Viscountess, to experience
London from a different angle. Come and join us to socialise,
network and enjoy London. We will depart from Westminster Pier in
sight of the Houses of Parliament and make a slow trip to the
Thames Barrier - London's outer flood defences - before returning
under cover of darkness to enjoy the riverscape at night. During
the trip we will pass under many of London's most famous bridges
and enjoy unique views of some of the City's most famous landmarks.
Light food and drink will be provided and guides will be on hand to
escort delegates from the symposium venue. This promises to be an
unforgettable way to spend a relaxing evening after a long day
enjoying the technical programme! The event is open to everyone,
but priority will be given to those under 35.
